Barkour Workshop Weekend

Dog Parkour Seminar

Instructors: Susan Marett CSAT, CPDT-KA and Heather Moore, CPDT-KA

Have a budding canine athlete at home? A dog who needs some new and different challenges? Would you like to be a creative urban agility expert? We’d love to introduce you and your dog to the world of Dog Parkour. Teach your dog to jump, climb, crawl under, go around, rebound, and balance on different obstacles that can be found at home and on just about any ordinary walk. Dog Parkour is stimulating, fun, and confidence-building while still being low-impact and safe. Join us for a 2 ½ hour seminar working towards your *first* International Dog Parkour Association title!

  • Twenty minutes of parkour is equivalent to a much longer walk
  • Parkour teaches us to be more creative and utilize any environment for training
  • Gives anxious and reactive dogs work to do while on outings — helping them to focus on their handlers

Resource Guarding Seminar

Instructor: Susan Marett, CSAT, CPDT-KA

“What’s mine is NOT yours!” Is your dog growly or bitey over toys, food, chew bones, or space? Join us in this people-only seminar to teach your dog that humans approaching his “stuff” is the best thing in the world. We’ll tackle “give” “leave it” and “off” as well as creating a happy response from your dog when you approach him on his bed, at his food dish, or with a prized possession. Maintenance of new skills and management, including around babies and children, will also be covered.

  • Teach new skills to prevent guarding behaviors, to encourage your dog to share, and to have your dog happily relinquish his swag
  • Condition a relaxed and positive response to humans coming in close
  • Keep the training going and prevent new problems

$125 until October 31st

$150 until November 11th

$50 for rescue groups
